Viewing Cecil E. Warner (1880-1952).

Cecil E. Warner (1880-1952).

Cecil Elisha Warner---known to his friends as "Charlie"---earned four degrees from the University of Minnesota: a Bachelor's Degree, a Masters, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws. He began practice in 1907 in Ohio, but soon returned to Minnesota where he engaged in corporate work, and then had a general practice until his death on August 19, 1952, at age seventy-one. In memorial proceedings for the Hennepin County Bar Association the following year, a friend recalled:

"Charlie was a genial and likable person, with a ready smile for every one. He was ever willing to be of assistance to others. His quiet, unassuming and pleasing manner brought true admiration, and earned for him a host of friends. He unhesitatingly complemented and gave praise to a deserving person. Charlie was dependable, trustworthy, fair and honorable in his dealings and was highly respected by members of our Bench and Bar."
