Viewing Horace Hubbard Glenn (1879-1944).

Horace Hubbard Glenn (1879-1944).

Horace Hubbard Glenn began practicing law with Stiles W. Burr following his graduation from the St. Paul College of Law in 1911. After Burr relocated to Washington, D.C., in 1923, Glenn continued on his own, soon forming his own firm, Glenn, Frankel & Christopherson. In April 1933, he was appointed Referee in Bankruptcy, a post he held until his death by drowning on October 17, 1944, at age sixty-five. At the annual memorial services of the Ramsey County Bar Association the following year, it was said of him:

"For over thirty years he was recognized as one of the outstanding lawyers of this State. During his term of office as Referee in Bankruptcy his conscientious work, devotion to duty, and native ability earned for him such national recognition from both bench and bar that it was justly said of him, by those best qualified to speak with authority, that he was without question the outstanding Referee in Bankruptcy in this Country."
