Viewing Frederick P. Warber (1891-1955).

Frederick P. Warber (1891-1955).

In 1917, three years after he was admitted to the bar, Frederick P. Warber interrupted his fledging law business to enlist in the U. S. Army. After the end of the war, he worked several years for a medical services corporation and then reestablished his practice in Minneapolis. He and Robert H. Petzke were law partners from 1925 to 1943, when he joined the staff of the Chief Attorney's Office of the Veterans Administration. He died on December 22, 1955, at age sixty-four. In memorial proceedings for the Hennepin County Bar Association the following year, his former partner recalled him:

"Fred Warber had an excellent mind and a rich store of knowledge, legal and philosophic. He had a strong love of reading. He was capable of reaching uncommon depths of reflection. His was a truly legal mind, but he made no ostentatious display of it. He was a man of great integrity, at all times honest and dependable. If he made a statement, professionally or otherwise, it reflected the truth, regardless of personal loss or gain."
