Book reviews of Roger W. Cooley, "Tiffany's Handbook on The Law of Persons and Domestic Relations" (Second ed., 1909).

In 1909 West Publishing Company issued a second edition of Walter C. Tiffany's 1896 hornbook on domestic relations. It was written by Roger W. Cooley, a member of the faculty of the St. Paul College of Law who was also on the staff of West. It was reviewed in four law journals: The Central Law Journal, Georgetown Law Journal, the Harvard Law Review and The Green Bag. They are posted here.

The text of Cooley's edition of Walter Tiffany's hornbook is posted separately on this website (Walter C. Tiffany must not be confused with Francis Buchanan Tiffany, a St. Paul lawyer, treatise writer and founder of the St. Paul College of Law).

Also posted on this website are the five volume "Briefs on the Law of Insurance," written and edited by Cooley and published by West in 1905.

Roger William Cooley later served for many years as Dean and Professor of Law at the University of North Dakota law School. He died on November 7, 1931, at age seventy-one.
