Viewing George L. Spangler (1864-1935).

George L. Spangler (1864-1935).

In 1889 twenty-five year old George Spangler, already a member of the Michigan bar, relocated to Duluth where he resumed practicing law. In 1918 he moved again, this time to White Bear Lake, and in 1920 to Forest Lake, where he had a general practice until his death on February 27, 1935, at age seventy. Later that year, he was recalled in a memorial service in district court:

"Mr. Spangler was an honest, upright, conscientious citizen. He was a sincere advocate before the Bar and in his relations with his fellow members of the profession, he was ever kind, considerate, accommodating and honorable. While he did not marry until after middle life he became a most devoted husband and father, an ardent admirer of his home and loved ones, seeming always to give them first consideration in all things."
