Eli B. Larson, the County Attorney of Norman County, died at his home of typhoid fever in the evening of July 29, 1893. He was 34 years old. The Norman County Herald published his obituary:

"Among his colleagues he was held in much esteem for the honorable and upright course he pursued in his profession and not only the town but the whole county mourns his hasty departure. Mr. Larson was a man among men and the void created by his demise will be long felt."
