Memorial Proceedings for Luther W. Youngdahl. (1978)

Luther Wallace Youngdahl served on the Minnesota Supreme Court, 1943-1946, as Governor, 1947-1951, and as Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia from October 1951 to his death on June 21, 1978.

On Friday afternoon, June 23, 1978, a memorial proceeding was held before Chief Judge William Bryant, at which the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court spoke briefly about his old friend.

On April 25, 1979, a Memorial was presented by the county bar association at a special session of the Hennepin County District Court in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This memorial follows the proceedings in federal court.
