Viewing William B. Davies (1848-1918).
William Davies was the court reporter for the Sixth Judicial District for thirty-two years. Active in the community, he served on the Mankato Board of Education for a dozen years, and was a member of four local lodges. Reporting his death on October 11, 1918, the Mankato Daily Free Press noted, "With the passing of Mr. Davies the life story of one of nature's truest gentlemen is closed. Unfailingly courteous to all his associates, upright and honorable in all business dealings, he was a man universally liked by those with whom he came in contact either in a business way or socially and fraternally."
