Viewing Net J. Robinson (1872-1927).

Net J. Robinson (1872-1927).

Net James Robinson, age twenty-eight, was admitted to the bar on June 8, 1900, after graduating the Minnesota Law Department. He began practicing in his hometown, Tracy, the seat of Lyon County. Inevitably, it seems, he was drawn to public affairs and local business matters. Twice he was elected county attorney, twice mayor of Tracy. He was city attorney, served on local boards and organized several enterprises that were important to the local economy.

In the early 1920s, failing health forced him to withdraw from practice, but he rallied and became Municipal Court Judge in 1925. He died on May 27, 1927, at age fifty-five. According to his obituary in the Tracy Headlight-Herald, "He was known among his fellow townsmen as a man of sound judgment in both legal and business affairs, honest and industrious, and stood high in the regards of his fellowmen."
