Viewing Virgil J. Schabel (1912-1953).

Virgil J. Schabel (1912-1953).

A graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, Virgil Schabel practiced law in Northeast Minneapolis from 1937 to his death sixteen years later. He developed an expertise in real estate law, served as Justice of the Peace for years, and was active in neighborhood civic and commercial organizations. In a memorial by the Hennepin County Bar Association after his death in December 1953, at age forty-one, he was described as "a good man in every sense of the word. He was a good lawyer, who built his practice on integrity and efficient performance of his duties toward his clients. He was a good husband and parent and a good citizen."
