Viewing Maurice V. Evans (1877-1938).
Maurice V. Evans was born and educated in Mankato, Minnesota. He graduated the University of Minnesota Law Department in 1905, and was admitted to the bar on June 2nd of that year. He was employed by a collections agency before opening his own firm in Minneapolis. He was quiet, serious, perceptive and insightful; he held strong opinions about politics and religion; he studied history; and he had a sense of humor. Above all, he cherished his wife and two daughters. He died on September 12, 1938, aged sixty-one. On February 11, 1939, William Howard Anderson delivered a memorial to him on behalf of the Hennepin County Bar Association.
