Viewing Henry N. Swanstrom (1890-1938).
After graduating the University of Minnesota in 1908, Henry Swanstrom started a real estate business. He worked it the next quarter century, even while attending the Minnesota College of Law, from which he graduated in 1918. Even after being admitted to the bar, he devoted his energies (and knowledge of real estate law) to his business. In 1933, his health failing, he and his family moved to the state of Washington where he died on January 4, 1938, at age forty-seven. The next month, a law school classmate and friend, Alvin L. Dretchko, delivered a tribute to him at memorial services of the Hennepin County Bar Association.
