Viewing Edwin A. Jaggard: "The Law of Taxation in Minnesota" (1901).
In 1891 Edwin Ames Jaggard began lecturing at the University of Minnesota College of Law on torts, producing his best-known work in 1895, the two volume "Hand-Book of the Law of Torts" for West Publishing Company?s popular "hornbook" series. He was elected to the District Court of Ramsey County in 1898, and served from 1899 to 1905. While a trial judge, he continued teaching at the Law College. He expanded a series of lectures on tax law that he had delivered there into an 821 page tome published by the Keefe-Davidson Law Book Company of St. Paul in 1901. "The Law of Taxation in Minnesota" is subtitled "Including a Comparison of that Law with Municipal Assessments in that State and with the Revenue Systems of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin."
