In a "Catalogue of Law Books" published in March 1911, West Publishing Company listed its backlist and frontlist of treatises, digests, textbooks, hornbooks, statutes and decisions of state and federal courts. It is posted here. In a "Preface" West explains its purpose:
"This catalogue is designed to be a convenient reference list of standard and up-to-date books; a practical guide, with many suggestions for the lawyer or student who may desire to purchase a book or library. We have listed our publications where we consider that they rightly belong, and where we hope they may always be found---'in the front.' We will gladly furnish circular matter and other information regarding any of them."
