Kenneth Nissen (1906-1955).After being admitted to the bar in 1929, Kenneth Nissen practiced law in Winona for thirty-six years, most of it in the public sector. He was assistant city attorney for a while, then served two terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives, 1935-1939. In 1938 he was elected Winona County Attorney, and re-elected three times. In November 1954, running for his fifth term, he was defeated, and returned to private practice. He committed suicide on December 22, 1955. He was forty-nine years old. |
