Viewing Albert H. Walker: History of the Sherman Act (1910).

Albert H. Walker: History of the Sherman Act (1910).

The Sherman Antitrust Act was signed by President Harrison on July 2, 1880. Thirty years later, Albert H. Walker, a New York lawyer, published "History of the Sherman Act of the United States of America." It was republished by Greenwood Press in 1980. In his Preface, Walker writes:

"The Sherman Act is a Magna Charta among the statutes of the United States. And this history of the law has been written to condense, upon three hundred and twelve pages, the light relevant thereto, which was originally diffused through some thousands of pages of speeches of statesman and of decisions and opinions of judges."
