Viewing John Lind (1854-1930).

John Lind (1854-1930).

John Lind served four terms in the United States House of Representatives, representing the Second Congressional District from 1887 to 1893, and the Fifth District in 1903-1905. He was elected Governor of Minnesota in 1898, and served one term. Thereafter he moved from New Ulm to Minneapolis and practiced law. He died on September 18, 1930, at age seventy-six.

This article consists of a memorial delivered on April 10, 1931 by Andreas Ueland, Lind's law partner, for the Minneapolis Bar Association, a profile from Henry Castle's history of Minnesota published in 1915, the results of Lind's elections and an album of photographs of him.
