Viewing "Catalogue of the Private Library of the Late Hon. Aaron Goodrich" (1887).
During his lifetime, Aaron Goodrich, who served from 1849 to 1851 as the first Chief Justice of Minnesota Territory, accumulated a large library. After his death on June 24, 1887, at age seventy-nine, his widow put the library up for sale. Realizing it contained many rare, important and valuable books and desiring to attract buyers, she published an 86 page "Catalogue of the Private Library of the late Hon. Aaron Goodrich" in 1887. It is posted here.
