Viewing Donald Lane Pomeroy (1893-1943).Donald Lane Pomeroy (1893-1943).Less than a year after being admitted to the Minnesota bar in 1916, Donald Lane Pomeroy enlisted in the Army and served until July 1919. Returning to civilian life, he began private practice in association with several Minneapolis lawyers. In 1926, he became Deputy Commissioner of Securities for the State and in 1933 was elected President of the Commissioners of Securities of the United States. Thereafter, he became employed at Investors Securities as counsel to the president. He died on March 12, 1943, at age forty-nine. In memorial services for the Hennepin County Bar Association the following year, James D. Bain recalled him:
