Viewing Milo Freling Stevens (1893-1944).Milo Freling Stevens (1893-1944).After graduating the Minnesota College of Law in 1923, Milo F. Stevens was admitted to the bar and began practicing in Stevens & Stevens, the family firm in Minneapolis. He worked hard, kept his clients out of court and brooked no criticism of the bar and bench. Other lawyers considered him "a great student of the law---literally a walking encyclopedia of case and statute law," a reputation acquired in part because "he read and digested every law as soon as passed, and as soon as available after a [legislative] session closed he had his private copy of Minnesota Statutes Annotated and every new statute catalogued."
