"Judge Wescott Wilkin's Retirement Banquet" (1891).

On the eve of Wescott Wilkin's retirement after more than 25 years of service on the Ramsey County District Court, the county bar association presented resolutions honoring him at a special session of the court on Saturday afternoon, January 3, 1891. That evening a banquet was held at the Metropolitan Hotel. Around midnight Judge Wilkin addressed the assembly, and gave one of the best descriptions of how a conscientious trial judge works that has ever been uttered.

The events were reported in the St. Paul Sunday Globe and the Minneapolis Sunday Tribune on January 4, 1891.
