Viewing Ezra J. Grover (1871-1935).Ezra J. Grover (1871-1935).After graduating the University of Minnesota College of Law in 1896, and being admitted to the bar, Ezra Joseph Grover began practicing law in East Grand Forks. But he was restless. He closed his practice, traveled and worked in Western states, then returned to Minneapolis, where he practiced for seven years, frequently representing the Chamber of Commerce or members of the Chamber in litigation in Minnesota and adjoining states. Failing health forced him to retire from practice when he was about fifty-three. He died in 1935 at age sixty-four. In a memorial for the Hennepin County Bar Association, Edward P. Kelly recalled that Grover possessed "a most genial personality -- happy and cheerful at all times, in all places, and under all circumstances. In fact, his whole make-up and philosophy of life radiated sunshine and happiness everywhere." |
